Today, BOLTS Technologies (BOLTS) shared big news. BOLTS is a cybersecurity company. It builds crypto-agile and cipher-neutral security tools.
BOLTS started a pilot program. The goal is to add quantum-resilience to the Canton Network. Canton Network is a public, permissionless blockchain. It is made for institutional finance. The pilot will test QFlex. QFlex is BOLTS’ quantum-resilient software product. It helps keep blockchain transactions safe. It offers quantum-resistant transaction assurance. QFlex protects blockchains from Q-Day. Q-Day is a future day. On that day, a powerful quantum computer (CRQC) may break today’s security. This could happen using Shor’s algorithm.
the EU's introduction PQS 2030. This made post-quantum cryptography (PQS) more important. Because of this, PQS is now a key focus for Canton Network. Canton Network works with many large institutional ecosystem participants. Each month, it processes over $4T in repos monthly.
Bernhard Elsner, Chief Product Officer of Digital Asset, said, “We are happy to test QFlex. It lets sub-networks choose new cryptographic tools. Users stay in control. No code changes are needed. This makes Canton Network more flexible. It also helps the network follow rules like DLT 2030 and beyond.”
Yoon Auh, CEO of BOLTS, said, “We are proud to work with Canton Network. This pilot shows trust in our technology. It helps us reach our mission. We build strong and long-lasting security for institutions using distributed ledger platforms.
QFlex shows that Q-Day risks can be solved today. There is a clear path to becoming quantum-ready. The industry cannot wait. Trillions of dollars are at risk. Canton Network supports over $6 trillion in on-chain real-world assets. This makes the pilot very important.”
QFlex is built on the Structured Data Folding with Transmutations (SDFT) protocol. It brings cryptographic agility to each transaction. This means asset owners can act fast. They can change protection on the next transaction. Older systems cannot do this.
About BOLTS Technologies
BOLTS Technologies builds quantum-resilient security for Web3 systems. Its main product is QFlex. QFlex protects blockchain transactions. The owner or wallet stays in control. QFlex helps blockchains stay safe as security rules change. It is based on secure data technology. This work began at its sister company, NUTS Technologies. QFlex (SDFT) has earned many research grants. These grants came from The National Institute of Standards and Technology, The United States Air Force, and The United States Navy. SDFT and NUTS technologies are protected by more than 30 international patents.
